2. Freezes at the end (important)

Could someone upload a savegame from before the end?
TMaul
I don't have a save towards the end but I do remember completing it at least once, although I can't garentee that it was on the version that was released.

Also, I released the source to the port by TJ and myself here.

Thanks for the source. I already ported latest version two days ago so I don't need it, but until I release it could pass months so if anyone wants to try it, go ahead.

Really cool interest has been spurred back into Ur-Quan Masters, will be looking forward to this (along with most other stuff you're working on)

I have that saved game if you need it, you can message me on aim at Seds0.

May i suggest hosting it on some free website (http://www.rogepost.com/ works pretty good and has no annoying countdown etc)

I found a savegame from before the final battle and both the Pc and the 3DO endings, worked without problems.

A600 I look foward to your release...
Seds
I do as well, thanks again!!

Did this port ever make it to the frontpage of xbox-scene or any other site? It's a shame because this has been out for a long time now and there are a lot of people left in the dark about this.
zonetripperx
I am open to hosting A600's latest port, or the port by TMaul. I'll wait to see if I can get a copy of what A600 has done first, though.

I've got the video content and will include that as soon as I put one up for permanent hosting.

Also, for those of you looking for some working keys (special weapon, etc.) I made a custom keys.cfg file that works GREAT. You can download it here:

Wow, it is good to see that there is still interest in this project.

Just tested that keys.cfg hopping that the multiplayer bug was not there anymore... too bad sad.gif

For anyone still looking for the movies they are in the newsgroups and were added a couple of days ago. a.b.g.xbox

Can someone please help me with a resolution problem? I have the game working on my xbox, but part of the top is offscreen! This makes it so you can't see the names of galaxies and stuff, which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get back to the Milky Way after traveling through Hyperspace! Can someone please help!

I'm having the same problem. I've only had this problem in some other homebrew games but they always have an option to set the screen location manually.

Is there any fix for this?
zonetripperx
Mexpac,

Which bug are you referring to exactly?

Congratulations on your very first and also very useless post!

Is there a way to manually compile this with the latest version .6?

I just can't seem to fix this over-scan issue. any tips. I real love this game, and I would love to play it again(16 years later... I'm Old... sad.gif

I recently just found this and did manage to get it to load, however, the controller won't activate any menu features like start a new game, super melee, etc.
Any suggestions on how to get a standard xbox controler to use the menu?
It would be great to play this again.
Suggestions?
Thanks.

I had this problem too, but then I used the newer XBE that is available on the site and scraped the one that is generated with the .bat file.

You should give that a try.
Tbullet
do you have a date for the .xbe file? I have one that is 1.417216 mbytes in size.
I got my main files from here: Download starcontrol 2 builder : http://www.crusaders.no/~joker/sc2x.rar
however, I couldn't find the movies anywhere. I did find them on a mega upload site, but after messing around with this set and that set, it either didn't load at all (black screen at startup) or tile thru the slides to the menu and just repeat.

I'll try another .xbe file I found, but do you have a link to which one that does work? Nope, it still does the same thing. The only site that is active here is the joker one.

Thanks.
Pulsemasta
I got all my files from the same site as you. There was the pack of stuff, then a XBE by itself.
Tbullet
All there is now is a simple rar batch file, and the default.xbe file.

Do you have a date stamp on your default.xbe file? Which one works?
Pulsemasta
Its the same one you have, exact same one from that site.. I just downloaded it a week or so ago.... so the date should all match up. I noticed that mine messes up if I play the main game.... but I just avoid that since all the videos are gone and everything.
Tbullet
Well, I checked out everything, and the game starts up with the slide show, but as soon as it gets to the menu to start a new game, super melee, etc, nothing. It waits there for a couple of minutes, then the slide show starts again from the beginning. No way to stop the slide show either. No button or joystick does anything on my game pad. I've tried a wireless one, and corded one. Like I said, I did manage to find the files needed, but the game looks like it's waiting for a keyboard input, not a controller one.
Weird.
My xbox is softmoded with SID v5. It's a Kernal 1.00 version V1.1, dashboard 1.00. 250 GB hd installed and XBMC 9.04 installed. I did find the content, music & voice files needed, but not the movies.

I'm stumped on what else to do?

Still a no go on this. I can get to the menu, but I can't activate or use anything on the menu.
Suggestions?

I didn't have any problems other than IN GAME problems. It started right up for me though.
