I got an xbox like a year ago, my question is i dont want to buy a modchip, i want to use the exploit way, is there way way, to get my xbox modded? please give me some information thanks.

let me see....there are a number of options here.

1: you can make a usb adapter for the xbox and use a thumbdrive as a memcard.
2: hotswap the HD use various tools to backup the HD (hdd_driver) and to rebuild it (xboxhdm)
3: have a friend with a modded box put the exploit onto a memcard for you.

ok i see, if i choose opition 1 with the usb adapter, what kind of exploits program is good as of today and is there a way to exploit without needing the original game of 007 or mech?

to be honest. the game save explot is the esiest.

I tried to use the hot swap method but unless you are running an xp machine or are familier with linex this method is extremely frustrating and dangerus.

My IDE controllers in my PC OS where damaged while tring to hotswap. While they still funtion to run my hdd my cd rom is not being detected.

And the friend with a modded xbox. Lets face it if you had a friend with a modded box you probobly would post here asking for help.

So my advice to you is. Go out to the bank. Get $40usd and buy yourself an action replay with a memory card. Now depending on weathor or not you own any of the games the exploits work through you may or may not want to run over to the video store and rent one of them. I used splintercell becouse 007 was not available.

And there you have it. You are all set. And you got a action replay out of the deal. Make sure you get an AR with a memory card if you don't already have one. And if you do have a mem card you can save and build your own AR. The instructions are around here some where.

PS. if you build your own AR and don't own a wire stripper don't sweat it. Grab a razor or a steak knife and sit down with a cutting board at the kitchen table and just shave the wires. Thats what I did.

yes, you need the original games....but you can probably pick up mechassault used for somewhere in the vacinity of $10

for installers, you could use Ltools (lots of tutorials on this forum for that) or if you know a thing or two about ftp, you could probably install an exploit manually with relative ease (look into UXE)

well if ur like me and dont want 2 buy a single thing (execpt a dam torx 10 and 20 screwdriver to undo the xbox) then use the hotswap method, i found it relativly easy once i new wat i was doing. this method works on all dashboards, kernels and xbox versions execpt ther may be alittle more work for those that do have the newer versions. here are some handy links that will help u hotswap ur xbox.
