I want to upgrade my dashboard from 1.8.458 to 1.8.3285. Do I need to replace the xboxdash.xbe with the new default.xbe? And do I need to replace the .ini file also? Thanks for any help. PROZACK

default.xbe is just for a bootable DVD/CDRW .

Just DL evox 3285 and FTP over the top of 458. Reboot (The evox skin will appear) goto setting menu and change your IP setting and other stuff.

The ini file used is now evox.ini instead on menu.ini , There is no reason to manually open and edit the ini file, al changes can be made with the settings menu on the evox dash.

Do I need to burn an .iso of 3285 and use it to boot with? I guess I didnt exactly understand what you meant by "FTP over the top of 458.

Since you said you were UPGRADING, he assumed you already had EvolutionX 1.8.458 on your hard drive, and you want to replace that with the new EvolutionX 1.8.3285. Therefore, you could ealily just FTP the new dashboard over the old one, along with the evox.ini.
You had to put EVOX .458 on a CD-RW (or such media) to FTP it to your hard drive one long day ago, right? So just pop in that CD-RW (or such media) to boot up, and replace the old version with the new EvolutionX using an FTP program.
It's the same thing you did as before; nothing new (except a laid out easy start). Just make sure the evox.ini is edited, so that it's conveniently how you want it.

Hope my jibberish wasn't too cluttered. wink.gif
