i just got a xbox and im trying to change the hard disk and softmod it. im using the no modchip hdd replacement tutorial on this site. but when i want to do the backup of my xbox hd using HDD_Drivers, it doesn't work. i receive a message saying that the "mfc42d.dll is missing. i tried downloading it and it says that the msvcrtd.dll is now thw onw missing. So i also downloaded this one. finaly, it displays the ordinal 5078 could not be located in the dynamic link library MFC42D.dll.

I know this isn't the method your using but i have done 14 softmod hdd upgrades this way and never had a probelm.

It requires a network, but its worth doing it this way because its just more reliable.

i just solved the problem with hdd drivers( didn'T have the right version for the dll). now, iget an infinite invalid filesize error. i knowthat i saw somewhere how to corretc it but i dont remember where.
