Hey, I am new guys, so please dont flame / cuss me out for this NEWBISH! question but
I am going to buy a new hard drive, around 160+ gigs, i know how to install the evox dash with UDE boot disc, but I need to get the original M$ dash on the new HD first, so can you guys tell me what files i need to achieve my goal?

Well you would need basically a copy of your old hdd's C drive (or a copy of a stock xbox's hdd) or you can download Slayer's using a torrent (don't ask/post where to find it) and that will give you the M$ dash files you need.

So i could just link a STOCK xbox HD via ftp and copy the entire HD, then just paste it all in the new HD and it will be xbox ready? nothing has to be installed it seems, am i correct, it just see,s like xbox, when it finds the files, just runs programs and is never 100% linked to the OS...

You copy all files and folders from C and E from your original drive to PC.

Install Stock drive to xbox.

You do have to format the Stock drive with evox format CD. It makes C, D, E and F OR G depends if you want G.

Then ftp back C and E from PC to formated drive in xbox.
