From your experience would you prime the Xbox before spraying?

I am going to spray the case a chrome silver, so I would like to know peoples experiences before I go ahead with this.

Any time you are putting a light color over a dark color, you should prime it first. It will make coverage much easier and uniform.

i would recommed priming beacuse it helps the paint bond or stick better to the case and be sure to put some clear coat on

Can never hurt to prime!

I have been down to the hardware store and picked up some primer, just did the priming and going to leave it overnight to dry and settle.

Then on goes the chrome spray.

I never picked up any clear cloat, will do that on Monday/Tuesday. I take it this will help protect the chrome coating?

Yeah help protect and give it a gloss finish.

Well if you just bought the generic chrome spray paint, yes, the chrome will rub off like crazy if you don't clear coat it

I just did a couple parts on my xbox with a chrome finish and it looked great. Until I smudged part of it with finger oils. Then I tried to clean it up and it only made it look worse. So I repainted chrome over that area again then then later clear coated it. But when I clear coated it seemed to fog the nice shiney chrome finish. Damned if you do damned if you don't. I'll live with it though.
