I've been using DVD XCopy to back up my DVD collection. I used to be able to back up a movie, from start to finish in about 30-45 minutes. Now all of a sudden it takes about an hour and a half. Any ideas as to what might be causing this?

perhaps these discs are just plain bigger.

anyhow, try some of the other methods at www.videohelp.com. i dont like dvdxcopy for that annoying warning screen, and removing it is a hassle. you should give dvdsrhink a try. its free too.

No these discs are the same size as the others. And I just tried to put a backup in to see what would happen, and it doesn't even see it in the drive. Everytime I'd do it before, it would see it.

dvd shrink is brilliant give it a try.

you might have installed some software or have ad/apyware that is slowing your pc down. have you noticed an overall drop in performance?
