i'm looking for a diagram on how to build a led ring, similar to this. i was also wondering what people use for the base of it (the actual ring) when it's installed as one solid piece.

if anyone could help me that would be appreciated.

also, what happens if you use too high a resistor? and how high is too high (if i need ~68 ohm and i installed a 100 ohm, would that do much)?

to build it, just take measurements of the case, buy some plexi or somthing and fabricate your own... not that hard...

for leds, too high of a resistor wont harm anything, but you will either get very dim light or none at all...

what would i solder them to as far as power goes? and would i only need 1 resistor, or a bunch?

i don't have a problem making the rings but i don't know what to do next.

Have a look in the pinned tuts, there are instructions on how to work out the value of resistor you need. Have a seach also for Ben999's LED ring tut.
