ok here goes
as a favor my uncle was going to mod my box because i found him a great deal on a used one
he modded his with the same aladdin LIVE chip and bios and his works fine
he has experiance with electronics so at first i doubted it was the conections
he installed mine and it boots like normal
the Chips LED stays lit blue
and he claims the Bios is flashed
the HDD is 100% unmodded stock dash ETC
i looked over the soder points and all seems fine, i even moved the d0 from the top to the bottom to make sure
and still the chip doesnt turn on when you hold the power button (LED does stay light blue but doesnt do anything)
Also his bios changes the Xlogo to blue but this one doesnt do a damn thing diffrent from stock
i also noticed my LED lights on the front power panel act as normal
his changes color when the chip is on
my board is a version 1.0 if it matters
i would try and Reflash but i cant find his programer and he is gone for 2 weeks

so much for the thought that its faster if he does it lol
