I am trying to install a spider chip v1.0 on a v1.6 xbox; however, the holes, identified in the manual, aren't punched out. can i use a needle of something to punch them out or am I out of luck? thanks

ya i have the same problem i also broke a freaking wire from the spiderchip ...plz help

I had the same problem last night with my spiderchip. I tried to solder the wires to the board, no joy. I also had problems with the chip mounting to the MB properly. I think that was a lot of the issues with my install. It worked fine when the chip was turned off. As soon as I cut it back on I got the red/green flash. I pulled the chip out and ordered a Xecuter 2.6 w/ programmer. Maybe it will be a little better quality. The idea of just sticking the wire in the holes with no real way to secure them is a bad idea in my opinion.
