Hey. Can someone please tell me if this cable will work with my Xecuter 2.6 Lite programmer? I bought one before that didn't work, so I want to make sure that this is the right one before I order it.

let me guess from compusa... i bought the same one it detects it,, but will not work, what i did was cut it in half, actually shorter then resoldered most of the wire then worked fine... to warn you it takes about 11 min to flash the chip, damn slow parallel cable.. but besides doing that worked great.

ps, try finding a 3ft cable shouldn't be a problem then.

AFAIK the best thing to do is to plug the chip into the programmer then plug the whole thing into the parallel port without a cable.

of course this is harder on desktops. laptop works like a charm b/c there's so much space at the back

having done both ways, with cable and direct to port

they both suck for speed, yeah it takes a while to program but its still better than dicking around with slayers if you can help it.
