I've done about 30+ X3 installs w/o any problems. I did have a strange thing happen with two of those systems. The eject light would come on half green and half orange. This was before and after flashing the 1959. Both systems worked perfectly, everything functioned as it should w/o fail. The first was a 1.6 (several months ago), the other a 1.6b (couple weeks ago).

Just curious to see if anyone has seen this or new anythinhg about it?

Green/orange means the av cable isnt plugged in.

It's not flashing green and orange, right half green and left half orange, not flashing. I'm saying everything is connected (give me some credit man) and fuctioning properly, flashing, booting, dashes, apps, MS boot, disc reads, back ups, you name it.

I've seen something similar on a few Xboxes. The LED was half-green, half off.

We modified the X2 BIOS to display an amber LED, and then it was half orange, half red. So the green element on one side did not work correctly. It was a problem with the mobo, not the front panel.

We changed the BIOS to display red-only, and it looked fine laugh.gif

I never did figure out what caused that.
