Ok the ultimate goal here was to get my 160gb that is in my hard modded xbox thats already formated and full of games to work in my soft modded xbox. And here are my problems. Ok first off I accidently unlocked the the original hard drive and now It wont boot in my soft modded box anymore. But I did make a backup before I did that so I have the eeprom.bin

so anyways i took the original hdd from the soft modded and put it in my hard modded to retrieve the eeprom.bin from the backup folder. and my plan was to use that eeprom with configmagic to lock the 160gb using the hard modding xbox and then take it and put it in the soft modded xbox.

i followed these instructions
http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/configmagic.php

this is what first comes up when i start config magic

this is what i get when I get when i do step 4 in the tutorial

this is is step 6

completed step 8

ok then at step ten It says the the EEPROM should be diffrent. But everything is the same as it was on the first screen that came up with configmagic. Also the serial number 010101010101 is kinda weird to me. am I doing the right thing for my situation? but anyways after that i LOCK the drive and attempt to put it in the soft modded xbox all I get is error 06 needs service. and when i try to put in the original hdd i get an error 05...

so is my box done for, or is there something I can do to fix it. I am getting deperate for some quality help. I almost willing to pay.

also whats the best live active irc help spot for things like this?

If have your eeprom you can use a xboxhdm cd to un/lock it. What v xbox do you have?
