I need to find something to help me import the .map file from halo, into 3dsmax for editing. I believe i need a plugin, so is that included in the XDK? I can look for it if i need so. Thanks.

or forums that help in Modding for Quake III Engine, I think there is plugins that mess around with .map files cuz SOFII and other Quake games use .map and .bsp,
Maybe try QRadiant (a Level Editior)

No, Halo's .map files are different. They are not Quake 3 engine. Halo is its own engine with its own scripting interpreter. It is a compressed file and is being a most royal pain to the guys at #Halohacker.
