I'm getting a classic frag. with the chip on=FRAG...with the chip off=M$ bios
I have a 1.0 xbox with filled in lpc points so I did the wire install. I know that these wires are making good contact with the filled lpc holes. the HDD and LAN LEDS are soldered right too.
I tried the alternate D0 solder and the top D0 solder. niether produced good results. I even tried hooking both the top and bottom d0 to the chip simultaneously to try to get somthing.
I have tried to flash many different sizes and types of bioses too. I am flashing via the programmer.
Only problems I can think of for the fragging is a bad plugin connection on the chip or bad bioses or a bad chip alltogether.

I'm thinkin of getting a Duox 2 chip with the two hacked bioses preflashed at divineo due to cheapness and already has what I want on it.
I think I'll use the already installed wires and just connect them to the duox 2. should I try this?

Ya, I am having a similar problem. v1.0 xbox with an X2.0 chip. It was installed with the pin header and worked for years, but now for some reason it frags. All of the soldering was done perfectly. I have reflashed it many times, but have the same problem. I was considering getting a new chip and using the same connections, but if that doesn't work, then I'm out $40. Can anyone make an educated guess whether this is a problem with the chip or the xbox?

anyone? I know the "my box frags" question has been asked 1000 times, but mine does not make sense to me at all.
