I have my retail hard drive in modded state. Do i just need to go into Ltools and select uninstall to be able to play on live. I have ude2 on it currently. Also, my backup linux folder is of a modded state. do i need to replace those files with the stock 5690 C drive files on the slayers 2.6 disk?

Please read the SOFTMOD/LIVE FAQ in the tutorials thread for detailed information regarding your question. Short answer: No you don't have to uninstall.

Just run the uninstall in Ltools.

You should reboot into an MS dashboard, and therefor, unmodded.

And then, Live!

they are both "partially" correct.
that is all you have to do, if you didnt install ANYTHING ELSE.
if so, then you will have to clean up your folders... lots of work tracking stuff dropped...
but if you didnt install anything else... then yes, that will do fine...
(luckily, it wont be too much longer of tracking things )
