Well I baught an Aladdin XT ICE edition...so it is white. Now I set it up today in my Xbox running to d0 cable and sodering it down to the motherboard...next I did what you are suposed to do with the BT and L1. By the way I did this with the pinheader. Anyways I have set it all back up and now when I turn my Xbox on it will stay on...it doesn't change any colors on the LED, but it does still boot up to the MS dashboard. When I unplug the power cable from the back of the Xbox the system shuts off...I have tried turning it on through the Eject button...it acts like it boots up and then it shuts off.

My main question is their something I did wrong or didn't do? if I am not booting on the Xbox now like I am suposed to since I have the chip in please tell me.

hows about a pic of your install job.....i always find that helps in diagnosing....and as i get the feeling this is your first time or close to your first time with an aladdin...i recomend searching for the alt bt and l1 points so you dont fry the surface mount resistors

I sent you the pictures in a PM

yeah ....already figured that out m8......wink.gif.... just get a photobucket account to fix that......good and free....ok...try this...ground your d0 point on the mobo to a case screw post.....and then...take bt from the chip not from the mobo and ground it like that
DemonBox
Could you please run that by me again in stupid terms so I better understand what you are trying to say...lol

it means grom the d0 point from the motherboard to a ground (you know where is the motherboard screws are right?) and the bt point ro mthe chip itself ground it too.

i think this will do

Well since I last posted I have tried tieing the BT wires and LT wires together...and it didn't work...I have done everything else that doesn't involve flashing the chip except what you guys said. So I started to do what you guys said so I had to unsoder the BT wire and I have to do it a couple of times today...to the motherboard I mean. Anyways the chip that you hook it onto came off of my board...now I tried my Xbox now and the box works, but since that little chip is gone it wont work...are there any other spots that the cable will work? One end it on one of the screw hole rings and the other end as I said isn't sodered.
