Sorry guys, I'm very new to this and I know a question like this is going to piss a lot of people off. I've searched, but can't find a clear answer. I was told by a friend that Xbox's made after April or May of 2004 can't be modded. Is this true? I found a ton of DIY instructions, but I need to know if I should buy a used Xbox or can I get a new one and mod that?

So I just use the current instructions posted on this site? NO special instructions not listed?

Newer Xbox consoles are Version 1.6 they can be modded. But most until recently couldnt be modded solderlessly.
