when i turn on my xbox i dont get any video or sound and the led flashes GREEN,GREEN,GREEN......GREEN...GREEN...GREEN...GREEN then it stays green

i was also messing around with the eeprom just before this happened

i cant do anything anymore not even coldboot

IIRC, that code could be caused by the video region of the eeprom being corrupted.. I personally don't know about embedding an eeprom on a 1.6, but that wouldn't apply unless you had a chip handy anyways..

i'm no expert on eeproms....but as far as i know, a chip is the only way out of that one. i'm not sure if you'd need one with an embedded eeprom, or if you could put in a chip and run configmagic from the dvd drive?

messing around with your eeprom is very dangerous...what exactly were you trying to do?
evilxbox
you need a modchip flashed with a bios containing an embedded eeprom.

M8 bios does NOT allow embedded eeprom

<i found your post looking for a bios that does allow it biggrin.gif, so cant help you right now>

>on my dead 1.6 i installed a modchip "AA" containing loader.bin from gentoox<
>so only linuX on it atm<
