Full Version: Warning To All Who Purchased New S-type
Scenyx Entertainment Community > Xbox1 Forums > Hardware Forums > Xbox Case/Hardware modding

WARNING: this is a very important warning to everybody when purchasing new s-type controller covers to rebuild your MS s-type controller into a different color cover

1st. make sure you order the cover from a good modding site and a trust worthy modding site

2nd. make sure you can get your money refunded if the product doesn't work or comes really messed up

3rd. e-mail the manufacturer or the seller to confirm they will return the money if the product doesn't work or is improper

WHY???

HERE IS WHY...

i just purchased two clear xbox s-type controller rebuild kits clear for my xbox project codenamed:steel battalion extreme xbox

one i purchased from a well known e-bay seller and i was extremely happy because everything fit into the cover like gold all the motors all the buttons everything

then i went looking for another one online and came across a site called modders extreme and after what you are about to here please don't buy from them

first off i get the controller cover it looks great i start to take apart my black s-type controller to place the parts in the new s-type controller i place the start button in fits great i put the black button in works great i put the white button in works great then all hell breaks loose and i do mean all hell breaks loose

first off i try to put the a,b,x,y buttons in the a button fits no problem i try to but in the b button won't fit then i try to put in the x button won't fit then i try to put in the y button won't fit then i took a look even closer at the controller cover they placed little tiny plastic tabs inside the button holes so you have to purchase new buttons from extreme modders so i go back to the site and e-mail them and i get back a e-mail im sorry we don't carry buttons you have to put your own in then i sent them another e-mail and what i got back after telling them the buttons won't fit

they told me sorry it must be something you are doing wrong i was like ok so i tryed again same thing

then i decided that was it i wrote them a e-mail and said i want my money back im sending the bogus cover to the better bussiness bureu and you will be shut down

the next day i got a e-mail message back saying

you dumb ******* you can't even put a ***** f****** controller together you stupid S***

well that e-mail went in along with four others that i sent and received

i finally got my money back after dealing with dip ****

and after all this hell my recommendation is buy smart buy from good and well respected modding web pages

and check the picture of the cover

main reason some bogus cases that are going around have dual big moters not one small motor and one big motor for vibration like the stock cases do

so just be carefull out there

thank's

yea whath the hell were u thinking. trusting no names.

I believe those were the first types released by limtk55
The part where the buttons had to be place had to be trimmed yourself, and one of the rumble motor spots needed to be cut also.

His cases are fixed now though tongue.gif

Wow huh.gif I like your story smile.gif

I'm thinking of doing something with my controllers in a while, but the cases are just so expensive - almost as much as a regular xbox case.
johnodd
so buy them off of ebay

my first one was excellent and i would be glade in five minutes to go back and buy more off of ebay
SpookieStylez
thats a hell of a story

Dude,

We knew about these cases. And we knew who made them. And we are in no way, affiliated to these manufacturers.

We make our own. And it only fits originals without any extra work.

That's the first thing I noticed too. Maybe it's so the commies don't find about the awesome power his xbox will have.

It also made the vendor sound like that much more of an ass... I mean not only did they fuck up his xbox controller, they fucked up his codenamed xbox controller!

Can you order the rubber that goes behind the d-pad from any of these sites? I think someone stole it when i had my controller apart.

that would be wild_fire his bst

I bought a case from him, very nice and very quick communicator, go see him!! Im not sure if he still has the parts but just check his first page.
ramzeva
the buttons dont fit because the clear case is made for euro xbox controllers, if you look at ebay auctions for clear cases they usually have this warning, it requires modding to get the buttons to fit.. I chiseled around the button area to get mine to fit way back before other brands came out.

What's wrong with him giving his project a codename? So it wasnt the best codename...

Xtrem named his "Pink Lady" and had 4 pages of posts and not one mention about giving it a codename.
Granted Xtrem's xbox is awesome...
