Will there be a Project Mayhem for UIX?
I love those skins

i believe there will... hassle 'chokeman' in #xbmc to get speed things up a bit

That would be nice, I like the project mayhem skins...

I've been harrassing Chokeman for about 2 weeks now for a PM skin.

But to no avail, he still hasn't made one. In time i'm sure he'll get around to it

a PM skin would be pretty cool. hopefull the harrassing will pay off and he'll release something for us.

Chokemans given me permission to port the old one over, ill get to wowrk as soon as im not busy, (doing a manual at the moment and some other stuff)

The problem may be that you chucked the folder named PM-UIX into skins

Open up the folder, and there should be another called "Project Mayhem" Minus the quotes

Just put the "Project Mayhem" folder in the uix skins dir

If you want the new main menu pod arms, [the ones in the pic] you need an app called winXIP

Its easy 2 find, i think xbox-scene have it in thier tools section [PC APP SECTION]

Get the app, transfer main_menu.xip over to your pc, open it up with winXIP
then go
EDIT -> INSERT

Find Main_memory_podarm_1-FACES.xm [its in the .rar]
it will ask if you want to overwrite
Go YES

Save and transfer back

DONE !

REMEMBER whenever you modify ANYTHING allways make a backup, unless you are a dumbass

If so:

Get winXIP

Open up

Default.xip -> Default.xap

Search For [CTRL + F]:

DEF theBackground Background

Find just below it



Replace with:



Easy =P

If that doesent work then:

replace:



With:



Save and transfer back
DONE

great skin, only wish i could get the blue textures in mine , like in pics but i know that would be asking to much , so maybe just the texture.xbx and i could do it myself!!

things....Thanks again to Odb for help. KyesaRRi, good looks on the mini tut. Didn't realize till you posted that it kinda needed it. rixter110, with the way things are going with xap/xips lately, you can understand why it maybe be a little too much. In the skin folder there is a texture.xbx and a tubes.xbx which both are used for texturing. Thanks

How would I remove the black that's blocking parts of the cellwall?

Do you mean the black half ring things that orbit around the orb? or the black in the bg pic or what?
If you mean the things spinning in the orb you'd have to edit them out of the main_menu.xip basically.

Is there a way to add the background.xbx into the skin so that it would be rendered on the cell wall without having to un-comment that code?

actually if you just changed the background image to be the cellwall.xbx (I think... it might be shell.xbx) it'd just tile the bg image on the cellwall how ever that mesh was made.

Yeah I figured the Cellwall Texture might turn some people off, but its the Dieselboy symbol, and it is Project Diesel, but ehh . . . . . its not like its permanent . . . . . . .
