I'm using a softmodded box with UnleashX and I used Waffletools for the mod. Whenever I try to "Restore unmodded X-Box" I get an error 13. So I checked around the files, and in the backup folder, under unmodded. I noticed most of the files were missing. The only thing that was there was the nkpatcher, dashboard, and biosloader folders, and all of them were empty. So I'm guessing that's what's causing the problem, that and the xboxdash file that's supposed to be with those folder. So I went to go to my computer to check for the back-up files I put on there, and lo-and-behold, they've been deleted when my dad went on his little computer clean-up.
My question is: Is this a logical guess as to what's causing the problem? And if it is what seems to be the problem, would it be against forum rules to ask for those files here or could I find them at the usual places?

Thats the problem, and don't ask for them. If you can get a copy of slayers and extract the ISO all the necessary files for the C drive are on there.

The rules clearly state that NO, you can't.

And no, xbins doesn't have them.

You best bet is an auto installer like Slayers, with which you would run menu option 4a10 to rebuild the MS Dash.

Alright, Xombe I followed your advice and ran Slayers 2.6 and chose option 4a10) and let it copy all the files over. I turned off the X-box, and when I turned it back on I got an error 21.

Another thing, could I just install option 4a3) and let it install XBMC, and EvoX and then coldboot a game whenever I wanted to play on Live? I've been coldbooting games for the past couple days to play, and that was my main concern, but now that's covered, so right now I'm just trying to recover my dash.

I suppose, if you want the extra apps on the E: Drive.

Frankly (and this is my usual disclaimer), I don't offer support on softmods. A softmod error 21 is sometimes a complex thing.

is it error 21 if you boot with tray ejecting/open

does the error 21 appear if you boot the xbox with on/off switch ?

Sorry it's taken so long to reply, (I'd been away for the weekend) but it's an error 21 whether I boot up with the tray eject button or the on/off switch. I've tried using 007 AUF to restore the modded stuff, but whenever I run the exploit, it goes back to error 21 again.
