Ok, now legally all beta testers (myself included) can share info about the game!

First, all of those training vids on gamespot suck! they show you nothing about the actual gameplay.

Second, MxO rocks! Better than city of heros and ive heard that its gameplay is better than world of warcraft. I havent played WoW so Im not sure.

I would recommend that you preorder this game and get in on the beta action!

what kind of stuff can you do in it?

its $15 US monthly but appearently its about the same as any onther MMO.


You can play for the Zionists, machines, or Merovingian (<-sp?). RIght now only random missions are available, but when the servers officially open in march a HUGE storyline will unfold connecting everything.


"Mega City" is the place where you do everything and is really huge. One of the coolest abilities in the game is "Hyper Jump" where literallly you can jump over a 50 story building in a single bound.

The Dev Team is great and promotes alot of the activities that happen in MxO (some players even got a 'Clue-like' mystery game going!)


Each class (Operative, Coder, Hacker) has its +'s and -'s. Hackers are like wizards, coders can create weapons, clothing and tools from code fragments around the MegaCity, and Operatives are brute force. THis seems simple but under each class there is an enormous amount of specialization (eg. Operatives can become Kung FU Masters, or snipers, or spys [and disguise themselves as anyone even an Agent!].

Very deep and cool game! Id recommend it, but you should try it out yourself!

Intresting, does each group(Zionists, machines, or Merovingian) give the player a bonus or specialation unique to that group or is that just for the storyline?

Well, ive noticed that the Mervingian pays quite abit more "information" (money in the megacity) for missions that you do. Also, there are "Constructs" that you can visit when you get to higher levels which allow friendly dueling among teammates, and serious PvP fighting between factions (Machines vs Zionists) <---These are cool! Other than that i guess we'll have to see...



Oh, you can actually jump over a city block if you level your hyperjump enough so its not limited to just one building (or so says a MxO forum mod..) .

hmm.. i was interested in this game. but I'm not convinced enough to shell out $50 +$15. I'm addicted to WoW so I have no time to enough look at another MMORPG.

Im on EQ2 right now. Gotten so used to the beefy graphics, haha. So this Matrix game looks sort of bland...

ive been playing MxO since the beta started, and it is the worst MMORPG ive ever played, and ive played COH, SWG, EQ, WoW, and more. the game has very low replay value, IMO, and is not worth paying monthly for at all

yeah wow is straight, i think this game will get good hype and then fail
