I'm not completely new at this, i have copied my ps2 games onto backups before with DVD Decrypter, but i just got an Xecuter3 for my xbox. Now i was wondering, can you burn xbox games onto DVD-R's. If not what should i use? And also, what program should i use, DVD Decrypter, Nero, or which one is the easiest?

Any help or advice would really be appreciated, please respond.

It is no where near as easy to backup an XBOX game as it is a PS2 game. But try this tutorial it should help:

Ya thanks for directing me to more tutorials *sigh*

All im asking is which is the best program to use. I think it's probably either Alcohol 120% or Nero, does anyone actually know or have any advice though?

You have to ftp to your xbox to get the game data. To burn the dvd I use Nero, it has never failed. Does a computer dvd drive read PS2 games?

Yes, a computer read's the PS2 disk right away, and then you just burn it straight from there, with, well i prefer DVD Decrypter. That's why i was asking about Xbox, i assumed it would have to be something different. But you do recommend Nero, correct?

Yeah its a really nice program for burning all kinds of disks. I am not sure if they have more then one version anymore, but I use the Ultra edition.

ive mostly used clone dvd to burn my back ups, never had one problem, when i did have problems it was due to a few missed files in ftp from xbox to pc never anything with clone dvd, ive used alcohol a few times, only time i use nero is when making a backup of a backup then i use nero and copy disc to disc

WTF? Clone DVD is a movie only app. How in the hell could you possibly get a working XBOX backup off of that program? Just to make sure, this is the clone dvd that I am talking about. http://www.elaboratebytes.com.

yep thats the right clone dvd, when you start the program you have 3 options, 1 copy dvd titles, 2 clone dvd, and 3, write existing data, click on write existing data, then you have 2 choices, dvd movie files or iso/udf image, select iso/udf image browse for your iso made by your favorite iso program, i use craxtion, and sit back while your back up burns ive used this prog to burn all of my back ups since day one

oh btw, clone dvd 2 has support for +R DL discs, just waiting for a new version or update for -R DL for when the pioneer a09 gets fixed, my local microcenter sais theve been selling out of them the day the get them in stock, but after reading all the probs peeps are having with it for game back ups i might just wait, i got a pioneer a05 and a plextor PX716A, whick i have no troubles with at all but am awaiting a new drive with -R DL support though
