Can anyone tell me exactly what Stealth Mode is and does?

stealth mode disables the chip for playing on xbox live.

Unfortunately it doesnt work with alot of the 1.5 xbit chips.

Any update or reasoning for this issue. Sort of suck5 major A55 that I have sold customers chip telling them that they can turn if off to play live when in fact they cannot. Not to mention techincally it is fraud that they advertise it has stelath mode and it does not work..

Don;t get me wrong I love (ed?) the xbit since the 1st install I did with a V1.0, but after all the flashing software problems and now this stealth issue, they are quickly putting themselves out of the market...

ON ANOTHER NOTE - Does anyone know if connecting to live by using a m$ bios flashed to the chip will work?? I know they are scanning HDDs, eproms etc.. but if I hav a box that has never been on LIVE and I log on for 1st time with stock bios flashed to the box, my 250gb and a "clean" motherboard will I have problems??? From what I see with stealth not working, flashing a stock bios to it is the best alternative...

That would work, Xenium Blue owners have to do this for the 1.6 xbox because the Xenium OS cant read the original bios from its chip.

I can confirm what silentscream said. I did this and am playing on live flawlessly.

what are you talking about... i went online with stealth mode multiple times and i didnt get banned............ until i halo 2 came out with the whole auto sign in SH*T

Not all of the xbits wont turn off, just the majority of the latest ones.
