can someone simplefy this tutorial

all he did was add a connection to his IDE cable and made a switch for his 2 HDD's

ok can someone please just explain how to make a 4 connector ide cable thats long enough to run out of the box for a 160 gig drive tnx

cut all the wires and extend them lol jk buy a longer ide cable

I no I have to get a longer cable but how do I add the extra connector ???
can I just buy a long 3 connector ide and then cut my old ide connector off and just add it to the one I bought and if yes how do I add it
wait cant you just buy an already made 4 connector ide from a computer store ..??

you could cut it and solder the other wires to it

sorry I just modiefyed my post but you posted to fast ... I asked if you can just buy a 4 connector from a computer store ??

Yes, if not you have to 'crimp' (is that right?) the old conector to your new ide cable (i think)
