Is there anyone having trouble with his thomson drive and cdrws? my friend just used cdrws in his thomson drive after modding his xbox and it seems thomson cant read any cdrws , some please confirm this and if it works for you, what media do you use?

cd-rw's work fine here on same drive , using TDK , Verbatim , Sony and Maxell [ Evo-X 2.2 homebrew / 4034 K ] . Memorex cd-rw would not work for me along with a couple cheap brands [ even after full erase ] .

same drive, mine works good with rw media..... dvd-rw and cd-rw...... it doesn't like dvd-r very much at all....

every kind worked 4 me so far, I use Imation and Memorex the most(cheap).... all 1x-4x.... burned at 4x

very odd , I can use any brand of DVD-R with no problems at all .

How is this possible ? some say bad dvd-r support , some say bad cdrw support , some say no probs at all huh.gif

just give more details , what programm do you use for ur burning and what speed you write. unsure.gif
and maybe the manifacturedate of your xbox unsure.gif

well my man every drive in the xbox even if its the same brand is tweaked different....

tell me exactly what the xbox does when you try to load a cd-rw....

does it start to boot then get a this disc is dirty or might not be an xbox disc, insert a cd, dvd, or xbox game....

does it do this???

I have a question for you guys....

where was your xbox made?

all the ones ive seen with the thompson are from hungry.... heh

and the ones I seen with a phillips are from mexico...
