when ur hd is locked, it is locked to that mobo, and will only work on that mobo, and M$ dash will work. When its unlocked it can work on any mobo, and ms dash doesnt work

A locked hard drive has a password that is required to access the information on the hard drive. If you lose a lock password, your hard drive is now useless until you figure out how to unlock it. A hard drive must be locked with the lock password in your EEPROM to use the Xbox without a chip in/on.
An unlocked hard drive can be accessed freely. A hard drive must be unlocked to use it in a computer.

Shazza, why the hell do you post all of your topics - most of which are completely off topic - in this section of the forum?
