Im trying to put a Seagate 40gb. hdd in my softmodded xbox, so I've copied all the files from my C and E folder, made backups, and done all the usual stuff. I used liveinfo beta 3 to get the eeprom for the new harddrive. After I prepare and copy the files to the new harddrive in xboxhdm and lock it up again, the xbox always gives me error 6. Should I be using the eeprom I got from liveinfo to lock the drive, or lock it with the original eeprom or what? Im really confused and this thing is pissing me off...

You need to load the orginal eeprom into liveinfo and then select the hd to generate the correct locking code.
There are easier ways, like creating a XboxHDM CD with the orignal eeprom. and c & e folders in place.
then to auto lock the drive using the eeprom you'd boot to option 3 from the cd, and then type
lockhd -a
and it will also setup the master password for later use.
