Please help me clear my mind, i want to know how to mod 1.6 boxes, but i am so scared of fucking mine over, please help me.

Any UXE exploiut will work.. I used Blackwars 007 gamesave exploit and UXE installer package.. its very NOOB safe and easy. you can read about it about 6 or seven posts below this one.

Easiest= blackwars, wafflezones, triggermenu's installer

cheapest= xboxhdm+ (may be my softmod pack .. coming)..

i have the same problem... should i use ldots’ Memcard UDE Installer or The Blackwar Installer
have everything i need i just need to know what's better and safer.

what's the difference between the two anyways?
are they both risk of clock loop free?
myxbox is 1.6 by the way

main difference:
Ltools was made a long time ago (well...relatively anyways!), blackwar's was made very recently. i'd go with blackwar's if i were you.

is there anything i should do or know before installing this? i read the readme and i don't get one part of it. i don't understand what i have to do here... sorry i'm really new @ softmodding.

So the only thing i need is blackwars installer and that is it, nothing else?

this means that if you ever want to uninstall it, you can't just turn on the xbox, let it boot up, put in the game disc and then launch the game to get to the installer menu

you'd need to put in the exploitable game (MA, SC, 007), turn off the xbox, turn it back on with the game already in the tray and then load up the menu and select uninstall.

this has to do with bypassing the virtual C drive...you don't need to understand what it is...just know that you'd need to do this in order to "cold boot" to uninstall

Yes if you have a 1.6 box.. UDE prolly wont work so use Blackwars installer which is UXE.
Once you have the blackwar installer, you need to load it onto a mem card either by ftp-ing it to a modded box and then transfer to a mem card, or using action replay type of device.. you need to get the gamesave onto your unmodded xbox. Then you need an original copy of 007 agent under fire and yuo need to cold boot that disc and then start a new game, exit that game and then load the saved game and you will be in the installer.. everything else is self explanatory once you get that far.. just follow the instrucions carefully and its almost fool proof.
