I´m a noob in modding the xbox, and i´ve googled serveral hours before posting my experience with the stealth mode...
I took the Xbit V1.5 with the Pogopin Install for my V1.4 Xbox, installed EVOX m8 and Evox M8+ Bios (both no problems).
Then i installed Evox Dashboard 3935 and some other apps and after i switched to an 160GB WD1600BB Harddrive, which i´ve locked after installation.
My XOX run´s very fine, except the STM funktion! (like many other users)
But sometimes-i´ve to try boot stm at least 6 or 7 times- my Xbox boots the original BIOS and i´ve to adjust my watch!!! And everytime i boot the original bios, the bios is ?reset? and i´ve to adjust my watch again.
The Xbit seems to be still enabled in STM, cause the light at the external board is still on.
I just went to xbox live connected and downloaded the update without a problem/without being banned.
So, t thought it must be a contact problem eventually at the d0 point.
I took out the xbit and have seen, that i´ve no spacer used. And i cant find the spacer anywhere, cause i get the box from a good friend (with the xbit installed but not working) and i fixed it.
So i created my own spacer and replaced the xbit, looking that the d0 point was sitting right.
Still the same Problem
(But give it a try , and try booting stm several times....
Could it be a hdd problem? That the original Bios can´t/sometimes find my HDD?
i jumpered the wd like the default hdd - cable select. but i know from setting up computers, there are lots of jumper problems with WesternDigital hdds.
