Okay guys....gotta pick the brilliant forum minds again...
I did search before asking....there is a lot of info but it is difficult to draw a consensus from all of the data available so please don't flame me....LOL



I used the MA version of the Blackwar installer and it works like a champ.

I want to use this XBOX with XBOX Live....

If I cold boot to the MA Game Disk and then go onto XBOX Live using the XBL account on my memcard it tells me I need to update....I figured this would be possible because of the Shadowed Drive so when I told it to go ahead and update...it went immediately to a black screen and locked up...No harm done....the Box rebooted just fine afterwards....hack still functioning and everything....I would just like to be able to play some of my originals on XBL....

Is there any way to let it do the update?

You see, the prob is that if I revert it to its orig state and allow the update to run the update will fix the hole in MA and I wont be able to run the exploit to put it back in its modded state....

Whew!!

I think that made sense....any advice??

always unstall any softmod before going onto live
then let it update what it wants to
just try not to play MA on live, but if you do
you have to delete the gamesave folder
in the MS dash then reload the gamesave hack
to reinstall the softmod

I thought cold booting was supposed to be relatively safe?

Lets say I remove the softmod and put the drive back in it's virgin state...

Then I go on live with MA and let it do its updates....

Then delete the gamesave folder in the M$ dash....

The reload the softmod....

Can I do a cold boot of MA and go on live with MA NOW without it trying to update MA again??

Or do I have to go over that whole procedure everytime I want to play MA on live?

not any more, they now check the xboxdash.xbe file and/or the fonts (thats what everyone says) you'r going to have to make that decision

YES every time you play live (it's not that bad just keep it on your memcard)
