So in other words, we have to pay before receiving the iPods? Sketchy...
what i meant it that once there is proof these ipods are real. aka i get them and take pic of whatever you need. i will need the paypal payment first in the ipods.

What's the stance on payment though?? Cuz if you have to send money to him first, I can almost guarantee you'll never see your money again.

what he is saying is that.. if he tries it and it works, then if he orders for other people he will have to get your payment first then after he recieves the ipods he will send payment. this is just so that he doesn't have to get money last second!

EDIT:whoa, hes a fast reply.
Yes sir it has no protection for the buyer but i will offer you one.
For your safety i have one proposal for you:
Make the payment through Western Union.
On the money transfer paper from Western Union on the
SENDER column please write your name and address.
On the RECEIVER -
instead of my name, write your wife
name or brother or other name that you want and my
address. After you make the transfer you will reply with the
sender name, receiver name and MTCN. With this
information i will check the transfer.
After you receive the packages you will give a
call
and change the receiver name at Western Union to my
name . This way i can pickup the money only after you
receive the package.
This is a safe method for both. (i know that you
made the transfer, you see what you get)
After you receive the package if something is wrong
with the item you will take back the money.
I will pay for all other shipping charge back to my
location.
Waiting your reply
Thank's
lol
please don't waste your money

I get that you are paying him after you receive the first batch.
I just want to know when YOU want payment for the next round of orders. If you want me (for example) to pay you before you ship to me, fine. You could send pics or similar for proof. I'd be very wary of sending money before he shipped though. I think you should be wary also.
What if I (again, for example) send you money for Ipods, and you then order from this guy in Italy. He never ships them. Now I'm going to go after YOU because I paid you, not the guy.... this would be bad for you obviously. If I paypal'd you, I have a legitimate case against YOU, not the guy in Italy. Now you're screwed out of how much money....
Get what I mean?

Okay.. then think about it this way.
Why would you risk losing several thousand dollars of your own money to MAYBE receive a lot of iPods that you will be reselling to Xbox-Scene members, when you could *not* risk losing several thousand dollars, and just spend a few hundred on an iPod?
Also, as mentioned above, the fact that you're dealing through WESTERN UNION across INTERNATIONAL borders basically means you can get fucked over several different ways.
If you're convinced this this legit, by all means, place your orders... but take a few days to think about it at least. You could lose a LOT of money.

/sarcasm
Take the case of an ipod mini, the high price of the 4gb of flash memory alone shows that this can't be real. Not to mention the marketing and accessorys. I couldnt find exactly how much it costs apple to make each ipod mini, but the shuffle has only a 40% profit margin.

Please at least skim the first points. Later on it only talks about eBay but the first part is relevant for everything.

http://cgi3.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...rid=**general**# Why This Scam Works: This scam plays on the human desire to get as much for nothing as possible.
# Western Union is NOT a secure way to transfer money. No ID is required to pick up a Western Union payment, only the transfer ID number.
# People hear "Free [or cheap] Shipping", knowing that it must be expensive to ship express from overseas. The buyer is thus more than happy to pick up the relatively small Western Union fee.

I can't believe this thread is still going. All you must be extremely illogical and/or gullible to even entertain the thought that this might be legit. Even if this person wanted to dump all these ipods they would do it on ebay in lots. That would maximize his profit and be just as easy to do. Of course if you look on Ebay this very person is doing just that, but just another venue for him to scam. This person is going to ask you to pay some of the order, pay for bank fees, shipment fees or some other BS reason.
