im a noob to all this. unleashx on a 1.3box, but cant play dvd video. do i need to install another dash or something like xbmc to allow the dvds to play? xbox games work fine. thanks all.

Have a look for DVDx. It's a prog, not a dash. XBMC doesn't handle DVDs correctly.

well if you havn't deleted the original MS Dash you would wan't to point the dvd player part in the settings to c:\xboxdash.xbe

Thanks for the replies. I ran the softmod, but did not use the Patch MS 5960 option. If i run this, will that add the msdash and allow dvd movies to be played (i have purchased the dvd kit and have the remote etc).
