Would a PC power source work in an XBOX? like i would replace the PSU with a power source from a pc. The connections seem to be the same, but maybe they are not. I was wondering about this because then i wouldnt have to split the power from my hard drive, and i could have more than one hard drive plus i could use the extra molexes for leds etc.

Just wondering if anyone knows. Thanks

Yes a PC PSU can be used, but it needs to be modified. First, the pinout for the PC and Xbox are different, so you would need to either find a chart that displayed the piouts for each, or get a multimeter and do it yourself. Second, I believe the PC and Xbox both use different voltage or whatever, like most US pc's use 115v. I was going to do the same myself before, but when I looked into it I decided it wouldn't be worth my time unless I wanted to actually have the xbox in a PC case.
