i have a belkin hub...is there a way i can by pass the DC 6v power connection...and connect the hub to the xbox power supply???
The*galloping*zebra
yeah, you just hook it up to a ground and a 6v supply. I don't know if there is a 6v supply on the xbox so you would either have to use a 12v and use a sutible resistor to bring it down to 6v or something like a 5v with a capacitor to bring it up to 6v.

this prolly sounjds stupid...but where would i hook it up to...if i used either the capacitor from 5 to 6 or a resistor from 12 to 6

I would use the hdd molex, it has a 12v and 5v (can't remember which is which)

if i were you i would just try and connect to the red wire on the hdd molex (you're gonna have to connect the other wire to the black wire on the hdd molex). its five volts, and it might work. plus if it isnt enough power it wont blow the hub up. if you use twelve and you dont use a proper resistor its gonna jack that thing up.

blink.gif if i needed to get a capacitor...how big of one would i need to go from 5v to 6v
