I have been getting deeper and deeper into this obsession that seems to be the X2 that now I am in an all out money struggle to save for both x2 hardware and new HDTV of some extreme variety for launch or close to it.

I wanted to know, is its normal to be caring so much about a release. I didnt care about x1, ps1/2, snes smile.gif but gaming seems to be getting so huge that its impossible for me not to care anymore.

The level which next gen games will entice, amaze and immerse at is getting so overwhelming I just hope I can have enough money to afford to experience it in all its glory.

Is anyone else out there in this mad saving spree at the moment? smile.gif

X2 isnt just gonna be for HDTV is it? I dont have enough dough to spend on a new tV and X2, and I seriously doubt I will by then with college and all...

I highly doubt the Xenon will REQUIRE an HDTV. They'd kill their market share. But Bill Gates did say specifically that he wanted every Xenon game to support HDTV.

I have a tax refund to spend on this thing. Plus I get a 3% discount on it from my credit card company. That'll pay for... tax. DAMN TAXES!

That means NOTHING!

what makes you think they wont just keep using the Xbox.com domain?
after all Sony still uses Playstation.com. PS2.com is "owned by some hippie in the uk." as well rolleyes.gif

If your funds are limited you should consider this.

If offers DVI, VGA, Composite and even S-video connections.

That means you can connect your computer to it, your X-box 360 and your satelite/cable reciever to watch HDTV on it.

It seems like an amazing monitor. Check it out.

Here's a review of it.

I'm absolutely in love with the Apple Cinema Displays, personally. They just need a component input in addition to the Apple/DVI input, and they'd be perfect for media center PC systems.
