so im thinking about modding my xbox but before i spend any money i want to know what my pc needs. is it as simple as getting a network card with a rj45 connector and plugging the xbox into that or is it more complicated? another question not related to the above but is the link cable for connecting two xbox's just a rj45 cable? i dont want to spend £20 on an official one when i can get a rj45 for £1.99!

Your pc will need a network card and you will also need a cross over cable to connect the pc to your xbox.

You must also have a modded xbox of course and you will need to have the modded.
Your mod chip should have the EvolutionX bios 2.2 or 2.3 and you will also need to have the evoX dashboard installed!!

You need a NIC Card and an Rj-45 (crossover cable).
