there are some hard drives for sale at amazon.com but it does not say if the maxtor 120GB comes with lockout, does this come standard?

there are lockability charts floating around X-S somewhere. do a quick search or something. Basically, the hard drive needs to be locked in order to boot the original bios (to use Xbox LIVE). MOST hard drives can be locked, but some can't. Check the chart for the specific model in question. It is not necessary to lock the hard drive if you don't use xbox live, or care to boot the MS bios.
