I cant find out what version xbox i have. When i did the chart on the linux site it came out as a 32/04. Thats not listed on the chart. Can someone please help me without me having to take off warranty sticker. I want to get an executer 2.6 solderless but i cant order it until i find out.

Seeing your going to buy a chip, why not open the xbox? what is the manufacture date, if it was very recent, you will have to open it, as the new xbox's have what appears to be a 1.4 mobo.

Go on www.xbox-scene.com and click on "Versions" and enter your xbox's serial number.

The 1.6s started coming out at the end of March, 2003. And the only way to tell a 1.6 from a 1.6b is to open the box and see if the RAM chips were made by Samsung (the former) or Hynix (the latter). If you bought your Xbox (new) yesterday, it’s very, very possible you have a 1.6b, if not at least a 1.6.

Check the MFG (manufacture date).

if you are going to order a modchip anyway, you will have to open the box at some point...

They still sell factory sealed Xboxes made in early 2003 here (with the DVD kit, for less that 140 USD), so I've never bothered to follow that forum much.
