if any1 wants to buy a broken xbox that works but cant get past error six, speak up, or if u can help me fix it please help.

is it modded and giving you an error 6? just get a new, unlocked hd if that's the case

here is the deal. I have completely taken out the chip unsoldered and all. I am still getting error 6, using a HD that works on my other boxs so wtf is going on. And when i unlock it and put it in it says error 5. I dont know what to do. If i can fix i prolly wont sell but $60 is what im thinking, i do take PPal but im gonna wait a few days b4 selling.

Sounds like your dvd-rom or your ide cable is dead. Try using your other xbox's dvd-rom and ide cable.

he got an error 6 because he was using a locked drive from another xbox. Because it was locked it gave him an error 6.

Than he unlocked it and tryed to boot it again getting an error 5. The error 5 because that particular HD was not locked to that particular motherboard and his chip was no longer installed to bypass the TSOP. If his chip was still installed he could boot up and lock the drive. No more error 5 or 6.

well i fixed it so guess what its NOT for SALE anymore.

for people with the same problem it was the hard drive being locked to another box.

he fixed it. So im guessing its not for sale anymore.
