i have a v1.6 xbox with a xecuter 2.6 installed .. it boots up to the cromwell screen .. it is FlashBIOS 2.6.0 .. i choose load bios from disc .. the drive(samsung) pops open and i put in the disc .. it reads the disc and displays the cd-rom label but doesnt flash .. ive followed the tutorials in this forum and on teamxecuter.com and i cant figure out whats wrong sad.gif .. i tried searching these forums for a few hours but couldnt find this same problem so if its a repost im sorry sad.gif .. ive also tried different media (cd-r, cd-rw, dvd+r,dvd-r) but since it reads the disc i figure it must be something im doin wrong .. the only thing i cant follow directly is the burning the files to disc because im forced to use ulead instead of nero to create the data discs .. any help will be greatly appreciated smile.gif

Do you have the flash protect switch turned off?

When you say you forced to use Ulead, is that because you dont have Nero or cause Nero doesnt work.

Are you creating an ISO and then choosing "Burn Image to Disk" or are you just creating a Data disk..?

yes i have the flash protect turned off .. the dvdrw drive im using doesnt want to work with nero for some reason .. it looks as if its buring but once it completes it says burned failed and no data was transferred to disc .. in Ulead i create a ISO 9660 and disable Joliet (ive tried it with joliet enabled as well)

Go to a friends house or use another pc if you have one with a burner and burn it on someone else's burner using nero. Also make sure you are following teamexecuters tutorial for the settings, make sure you name it bios.bin and put a buffer file.

I'm having exactly the same problem and would be interested in solutions that you come across.

I have a v1.0 Xbox with Xecuter 3CE.

I've burned a disk using nero and put on a 100+mb buffer file and v 3209 bios named bios.bin.

I can boot up fine with the mod chip both enabled/disabled. However, once I choose to load the bios from the CD it reads the CD and freezes. Exactly the same problem. It reads the CD (including the volume label which is NEW) but, nothing else loads.

Any ideas?

Flashing via FTP is pretty easy. No CD required.
