Ok i know that i don't have many post counts but i have been here for a while. For soldering leds, i'm planning on using the 12v and having 9 leds with a 100ohm resistor. The problem is that i don't have a molex connector rite now but will it be okay if i just solder to the regular hardrive wires? This sounds noobish so thatz why i posted here.

Yes just carefully peel of the 12v wire and solder your wire for the Leds to it..
