First i would like to say hello to everyone smile.gif

o.k onto my problem mad.gif

I can connect to LIVE fine by using auto setings to obtain IP Address etc, with a crossover cable and Internet Connection Sharing.

Here is where the problem is when i enable my Xecutor 2 chip and boot into the EvoX dashboard when i goto the settings for the network i can change the numbers etc but it dont save and just stay with the wrong gateway info.

If i unplug the cable i can still not change the settings, when i plug the cable back in the X-Box keeps getting an IP address off 169.254.4.15 and gateway 169.168.0.1 and these are not what i want.

I can set it in the original dash but as soon as i boot to EvoX it changes back and then if i goto back to the MS Dash it has changed there aswell

Any ideas on why this is as its doing my head in and no matter what i try it always refers back to some static IP address that it seems to pulled out of a hat.

Any help appreciated

Cheers

o.k been getting some advice on another site, and think the problem could be related to a problem with the dashboard and it has been suggested i make a EvoX boot CD.

Hopefully this will detemine if it is the dash or not so is there guide around for making the boot cd ?

Thanks
samtron
you can download it google it and you might find it

Yeah was going to do that just thought there might be a nice tutorial around somewhere.

You don't need to make a boot cd. Don't waste your time...
What version of evox are you running. You boot it off your hdd right now correct?
You have static ip = no in it? and then scroll down and hit save and exit?
