I'm modding and trying to install a replacement DVD-player for my XBox.
Can someone explain to me the exact functioning of the signals TRIN, TROUT and READY? EJECT is selfexplained. Why do you want to flash a Samsung SD-616T with the SD-605B firmware when it works much better with the original firmware?

I've also found out by experimenting that with the samsung drive it can't read my SVCD movies I have on CD-R! But just for fun I tried a Hitachi GD-8000 and that one can read it all perfectly! But unfortunately I don't know how to modd that one in regards to the TRIN, TROUT and READY so if someone could explain it to me, I might figure it out.

thank Birdtales for that... I pulled it from the Xi-Fi Forums

as for flashing the 616t. It's so you can read originals replacement DVD drives can't read Xbox game discs... except the 616t once it's been modified appropriately.
