Is it possible to have a stock HDD and a large on on one xbox with a matrix chip? for some reason the eject to turn off the modchip thing makes me think no.

Its possible but you will need to install a switch to switch power between the 2 hard drives and a special IDE calbe that support more then 2 devices.
