wassup,

i have a X-Ecuter Xapt3r Solderless Adapter and X-Ecuter 2.6 CE w/1.6 LPC Rebuild PCB chip. I have a dvd with evox on it also. i was wondering if someone has a tutorial that i can read or something that would help. I am not sure what to do beacuse the last xbox i had i fried the motherboard. please help thanks. Do u think since i have a solderless adaper it would be much eaiser? i have also bought a 80 gig harddrive with it. Do i install the chip first or both at the same time?

First install your chip, insert the evox disc and backup your original hard drive. Unlock the orginal hard drive. Install your new hd. Transfer the backup of the old hd to the new hd. if you want to use live lock the new hd. copy your dashboard files over. enjoy.

I dont think you can use a solderless adapter on a 1.6 board

Do you have a 1.6 motherboard?

The rebuild boards are only for the 1.6 so these guys are asking valid questions here.
Why not seriously consider getting someone of here to fit the mod for you as it sounds like you may damage something due to not really being sure about anything to do with the mod.
