I dont know where to put video files on the hd so that xbmp can play it straight off the HD

i would think anywhere u want, just remeber where u put them.

yea but when i go to play videos from my hd it doesnt have anything listed

first ftp to your xbox then make a folder called movies or videos ftp that over. Then ftp your movies into that folder very simple. When you turn on your xbox go to e:/ drive or where ever you put your movie folder and then open in up scroll down the page till you find your folder open it up and your movies should be their with the little t.v. icon thingys

thanx but i think its messed up cause its just displaying a bunch of letters, anyway no matter i use xbmc
