know a lot but not quite enough...........

Q1: Before I run your FIX #1 (at my own risk), the "locking hard drive thing," if I lock the hard drive and then remove the modchip, will the hard drive still be locked?

Q2: Is it a high probability of locking the hard drive?

Q1: yes
Q2: to work with the modchip desabled and of course with the original ms dash the hdd MUST be locked, otherwise HDD error code!!!

but if you don't nedd xbox-live, or original xbox bios/msdash then leave the drive unlocked.

tried all the fixes.. still red flashes.. any other ideas? its like nothings even being read form the chip.

not sure this fixed mine this is just data i foubnd on the net and posted it all up in one spot...

this is not a red/green frag fix
this fixes the red frag where your eeprom is messed up
