do xboxs support dual layer discs?
gsgleason
several retail games use dual layer technology, so I would be inclined to say yes.

whether it will read dual layer dvd-r media is another story, though.

Only if your DVD player in the Xbox can read DVD + R because dual layer format DVD's are +R

Don't know why, but do a search and see. The only DVD DL I have ever seen on the shelves is +R. They are not cheap either like $30 for 3

BTW this is under the assumption you mean writable dvd's. Movie dvd's are a completely different technology andd the Xbox can read stock DL movies and games.
